Elias is such a joyful soul, he has the attitude of a warrior and is a true miracle walking amongst us! Ever since his birth he has fought hard to be with us and shows that resiliency in over coming every day obstacles. He observes first and then puts his knowledge into practice repeatedly until he gets it right. He never gives up! If he falls down, most often he doesn’t even cry before getting right back at it. Elias is always happy and loves exploring his environment. He is a quick learner!
What are Elias Rucker's favorite activities?Elias loves to watch cars drive by (funny, I know), reading his favorite books, playing with his toys, going to the park, and attending his physical therapy. In PT he loves to learn how to master strength, balance, dexterity and hand eye coordination all in one. He also enjoys sing along songs and has just mastered clapping and stomping to “if you’re happy and you know it.” He loves playing with any type of small ball to bounce it off a table or floor repeatedly. He is a joy to be around.
How would $25,000 impact your family?When Elias arrived so suddenly and with both mom’s and his health scares, we lost a lot financially. Four months of being in the hospital left us with paralyzing debt. This would be life changing for us as we have had to take a lot of time off to take care of the numerous doctor’s appointments Elias has. Our family would finally be able to focus on enjoying each other’s presence without the dark cloud of debt hanging above us.
