Hannah is an amazing baby. Despite 5 hospitalizations in her 8 months of life, she is ALWAYS happy, ALWAYS smiling, and ALWAYS playful. She always greets new people with a grin, and has the most adorable laugh. She loves playing with her brother who is always pushing her beyond her limits. Hannah is also “Little Ms. Independent!” She does not like to be rocked - she enjoys falling asleep on her own! She is such a calm and collected baby, so focused and attentive - ourlittle adult!
What are Hannah's favorite activities?Hannah loves to explore her newfound independence! Standing, sitting, or crawling - she wants to explore! She enjoys playing in her ball pit, flipping the pages through her books, pincer grasping the tiniest toys, taking a stroll through the park, and taking a nice nap! She loves cuddling with mommy and daddy and can never wait to sit with all of us at the table!
How would $25,000 impact your family?Hannah was diagnosed with Glycogen Storage Disease Type 1a at birth, a recessive condition that causes a defect in one of the ways the body produces energy to function. Although she looks normal on the outside, internally, Hannah is at risk for seizures, coma, and death every 2 hours - an outcome prevented by intense and persistent management. Being forced to become a single income home, the funds would help with all the extra medical bills we have every month and her frequent hospitalizations.
