Nora has the most beautiful and heartwarming personality. She loves everyone. She doesn’t know a stranger. When we have to go to St. Jude she rides in her wagon and waves and says “Hi!!” To literally everyone. She brings a smile to everyone’s face that sees her do this. She is very smart, curious, adventurous, and playful. Nora will grab your finger and say “Gooo!!!!” When she wants to show you something or go play. Very talkative. She tells us a lot even though we can’t understand her yet.
What are Nora Hembruch's favorite activities?She loves playing with Mom and Dad! Whether it’s bringing mom and dad their shoes, climbing the stairs and coming back down 17 times in 20 minutes, helping mom and dad take their two dogs on a walk, or a watering her flowers in front of the house. Nora enjoys it all. She just wants to help us! She also LOVES Bluey and Sesame Street!
How would $25,000 impact your family?Nora’s parents are both teachers, so we usually have to take Nora to St. Jude at least once or twice a week. Every six weeks we have to be admitted to the hospital for her big chemo treatment. We’re almost out of sick days six weeks into the school year. Eventually we will take half pay and then if any other teachers donate their sick days, we can use them. After that we have to use our disability. This would just help us keep our home, pay bills, keep us fed, and get Nora what she needs.
