Porter

Porter’s smile is so contagious that many say his eyes actually twinkle with joy. He’s always happy and never meets a stranger. From the moment of his early arrival, he has loved listening to and watching people talk, a clear reflection of his caring nature. When he’s not smiling or hugging, he’s full of energy, making his sisters laugh and imitating giggles—doing anything to share a smile with others. Even on his tougher days, Porter is able to connect with others, sharing his love for life.

Porter’s LOVES watching the leaves sway while lying under trees in the shade, playing with his sisters, grabbing his daddy’s beard, secretly feeding the pets from his highchair, trying to catch the kitties, rolling endlessly, marveling at shadow puppets, being sung to or read to, getting kisses from the puppy, feeling different textures, and enjoying anything involving water.

In our household of 6, financial comfort is a challenge. Porter's medical needs are ongoing due to his PVL (brain injury) & BPD (lung disease). Since he turned 1, he's no longer eligible for govt healthcare or SSI. Although Mom, a teacher, can cover our family's insurance, the cost of his weekly therapies & inevitable hospital visits during cold/flu season will add onto the debt we already accrued. This gift would be life-changing, providing the security blanket our family so desperately needs.
