Shaila Simmons

Shaila is the true definition of a boss baby! Having to be a bit more mature at her age, she knows exactly what she wants and when she wants it! Her heart condition says that she can’t run around and have fun like other kids but Shaila is here to tell you, she makes the rules and that she’s all about fun! It motivates me everyday to be thankful that I am able to move about freely with no restrictions.

Shaila loves to mimic. From following the cool dance moves of Ms. Rachel to running around clapping. Shaila has this thing where if she’s clapping, she expects everyone else around her to as well and if you don’t, she comes up to you grab your hands and pushes them together so that the two of you can clap together! It’s so cute! Shaila loves to throw up her hands and do a little wiggle. Dancing has been what I believe what helps her get through the day to day. Shaila also loves church!

$25,000 wouldn’t only impact my family but change it. Due to Shaila’s heart condition getting sick isn’t easy and so dad and I aren’t able to work as much cutting our family income in half. With Shaila’s next open heart surgery approaching $25,000 would allow us to take the time off and have the resources available to us to support her recovery. Through faith we have been kept grounded. I hope her story inspires all who may be dealing with this life changing condition!
