Asa Kahn

Asa’s first home was a tiny Airbnb with no room for a crib or bassinet. Despite the stress and uncertainty we bore as we pieced our lives back together, she was calm, smiling, cuddly, and ready for anything. When loud noises would startle us, Asa would turn her gaze to look inquisitively at whatever it was that made the sound. She’s met every moment since with the same steady, fearless curiosity—wide-eyed and eager to explore, as if the whole world is a joyful surprise.

Asa’s favorite activities include nursing, cuddling with mama and dada, and playing and giggling with her brother and sister. She loves swimming, dancing, trying new foods, babbling, and blowing raspberries. She’s captivated by the mobile above her swing, watches the dogs with keen interest, and is entranced by tree branches swaying overhead on our walks.

After losing our home and belongings in the Eaton Fire, we’ve been rebuilding from scratch while welcoming Asa into the world. $25,000 would ease the burden of replacing essentials, covering housing costs, and creating stability for our children. It would be a gift of security, letting us focus on making joyful memories instead of worrying about what we’ve lost.
