He loves giving smiles and cuddles to his favorite people and hospital staff. He is starting to coo and talk back to everyone. He rarely ever cries unless he’s sleepy. He is a super chill and very happy baby!
What are Ashur's favorite activities?He is still in the hospital so he really enjoys his PT and OT visits! He loves to stare at his rotating mobile while he kicks his feet on his play piano. He’s learning to love tummy time! His favorite is when his dad puts him in a football hold. It helps him strengthen his neck muscles but also helps him relax like a monkey on a tree branch, taking a nap.
How would $25,000 impact your family?Ashur has a rare genetic disease called Microvillus Inclusion Disease, for which there is no cure. Ashur cannot drink or eat by mouth, he has to be on IV nutrition for the rest of his life. We would use the money to help fund research in finding a cure for this disease so Ashur and other babies can live a better life. We also transferred care up to Boston Children’s Hospital from FL, some of the funds will help our family while we are away from home and any future return visits to BCH.
