Athena has a bubbly personality and is comfortable in any social setting. She loves to wave and say "hi" to new people. She is curious about everything and is always on the go. She has always been a very determined little girl and finds creative ways to reach her goals.
What are Athena Poplin's favorite activities?Athena is big on food and loves to eat but she also enjoys "helping" in the kitchen. She has her very own cutting board and baby safe knife to help cut veggies and likes to taste test dinner along the way. When dinner is finished, she likes to help mom wash the dishes and play in the water. Water activities are some of her favorite things to do as well. Whether it's swimming in the pool, playing in the waves at the beach, or splashing in water table, she loves it all.
How would $25,000 impact your family?Athena's father (my fiancé) and I are first generation college students who worked very hard to get where we are. That being said, we couldn't have done it without the help of FAFSA. Unfortunately for Athena, since we are now college graduates, she will not have the same financial benefits that we received so we are are trying to save a college fund for her now. We would like her to have the opportunity to get to choose anywhere she wants to go and winning would be a huge help for her future!
