Camden Ayala

He is determined! He fought for his life against all odds. He was diagnosed with severe HIE and spent 3 weeks in the NICU. Thanks to his wonderful team of specialists as well as our strong will and perseverance, he made astonishing progress after he was discharged from hospital. Now we get to cherish everyday with him blossoming into the sweet, funny and loving character that he is! He is happy, sociable and playful and engages and charms everyone he meets.

He loves playing soccer and basketball. He loves books and will choose his favorites from his bookshelf and have us read them over and over again! He enjoys meal and snack times and eats very well. One of his most favorite things is when his Dad holds him and sings karaoke to put him to sleep. He started this from the beginning, when he arrived home from hospital. It’s so precious to witness.

It would bring relief to what has been a very stressful and trying time for our family. We have high costs and medical bills still to pay off. We’ve had financial support from family and we have put all our energy and resources into making sure Camden has the best care. $25,000 would pay off our remaining hospital bills, help cover the cost of daycare and we could plan something meaningful to celebrate how far we’ve come.
