I am a spunky little zip. Always moving and grooving. I love to smile! For my first 7 months, I was intubated. On July 23rd, I underwent a tracheotomy surgery. I have more freedom now to move, develop and grow. I did have some belly troubles and had to have another surgery which resulted in an ileostomy being placed. I’m grateful because my belly hurts less now and I can eat more.
What are Deklynn's favorite activities?I love snuggles with my mom and play time with my dad. I get lots of visits from nurses, doctors and all of my therapy specialists. My favorite toys are my baby Einstein aquarium and my dumbbell rattle at the moment. Tummy time and walks outside in my new stroller are around the corner.
How would $25,000 impact your family?We are coming up on 10 months of hospital life. It has been a long journey and we are beginning the talks of what coming home will look like. We will require home nursing and a lot of medical equipment to be able to make that transition. This will come in handy to hopefully make this BIG MOVE easier and manageable or possibly a bigger room at home for all of my stuff that the hospital says I will need.
