LoriKat is one of the happiest babies you'll ever meet, even after going through 3 surgeries in her short life. She loves people, and looks right through them with her big beautiful eyes. Every time she was in the hospital, the nurses on her floor kept bringing their coworkers in to meet her. It was a constant parade of visitors, and she had them all captivated with her giant smile and bubbly personality.
What are Lori Ayres's favorite activities?Lorikat is a huge music fan, and loves dancing to pretty much anything upbeat, especially New Orleans brass band music. She also loves swimming, tummy time, bath time, trying new foods, playing with her favorite toys and definitely meeting new people.
What would your family do with $25,000?The first thing we'd do is make a donation to our local chapter of Gigi's Playhouse. They do amazing work for people of all ages with Down Syndrome, and it stays in the local community. They've already done so much for Lori and us in our journey raising a child with Down syndrome, so we'd love to give back. We'd definitely save a sizeable chunk for Lori's future, and we'd probably take Lori on a nice vacation because her first year has been so much time in the hospital and doctors offices.
